CAL preps for new season with race, Fright Night
October rolls in next weekend, and the KCAL Old Time Radio Troupe is so anxious for Halloween to arrive that they are unleashing some spookiness four weeks early!
The group will present its highly-anticipated “Halloween Fright Night” old-time radio show reproduction on Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the performances are $7.50 each, and along with the heebie-jeebies from the performance itself, will include refreshments and special surprises—which may or may not creep and crawl!
This year’s “Halloween Fright Night” show will consist of an episode of the radio series “Suspense” and “The Strange Dr. Weird,” as well as Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell Tale Heart.”
The show is sponsored by R.J. Corman Railroad Group. Tickets are on sale now and limited to a mere 55 seats per show, so move quickly. The box office can be contacted at 859-885-5363. Ticket proceeds go to benefit the Creative Art League of Jessamine County.
In addition, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, the entire Creative Art League of Jessamine County welcomes all area walkers and runners to take part in the Race For The Arts 5K run/one mile walk through downtown Nicholasville!
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Creative Art League of Jessamine County, Inc., and the first 200 registrants will receive a signed and numbered limited-edition print. Registration can be completed at https://runsignup.com/Race/KY/Nicholasville/RaceForTheArts5K. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
