Despite the wet and dreary reach of Hurricane Harvey, Saturday’s Books & Bottles author event filled the Chrisman Mill Winery outside of Nicholasville with both readers from around the area and writers from around the country.
“We had around 50 authors and vendors that participated in Saturday’s Books & Bottles Author Event at Chrisman Mill Winery,” event organizer and Nicholasville-based author Michelle Areaux said. “Everyone seemed to be in good spirits in spite of the weather. We all enjoyed meeting readers, being interviewed by bloggers who came, touring the vineyard and networking with other authors.”
Areaux said that she was very pleased with the positive atmosphere of the event, as well as the attendance and support of and for local vendors.
“Everyone was laughing and talking and selling books. It was a great day!”
For those who were unable to attend Books & Bottles, Areaux said that she is securing a venue and gathering authors for another future event. She said that Chrisman Mill Winery will partner with her once again to host wine tastings and have another event signature wine bottle.
