Congressman Steven Brett Guthrie, the U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s second congressional district, has announced he will be visiting Wilmore this month to speak directly with constituents.
Guthrie said anyone who has had any issues such as veterans not receiving awards, are welcome to come to the office between 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, August 7 at Wilmore City Hall located at 335 Main Street.
“I’m open to whatever anybody who I represent wants to talk about,” Guthrie said.
Constituents are welcome to show up as individuals or as groups with the same issue and can register for the event at https://guthrie.house.gov/events/. Registration is not required for attendance.
“We’re going to try to accommodate as much as we can,” Guthrie said.
Votes are not currently expected in the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday, August 7. In the event the schedule changes and the House is voting that day, Guthrie will have to be in Washington, D.C., and the Jessamine County Office Hours will be rescheduled.
