Published 4:26 pm Wednesday, June 28, 2017

This coming Tuesday, the country celebrates its independence, and with that comes the traditional Fourth of July celebrations in Jessamine County.

The festivities in Wilmore will begin with the annual parade, which will kick off at 10 a.m. downtown. After its final showcase has rolled through for all of the spectators to enjoy, the festival itself will commence at approximately 11 a.m. The festival will take place at AdventureServe Grounds—former camp meeting grounds located at 50 Campground Lane. There, everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy food, arts and crafts and performances of patriotic music from the Jessamine Jazz Ensemble.
