Glen Helton

Glen Helton, 88, entered heaven on June 8, 2017. He was born October 15, 1928 in Ezel, Kentucky. He is survived by daughters Helen (Frank) Kitts, Marcia (Larry) McCartt, Diane (Tim) Vetters and Sandy Smith; and grandchildren Tyler (Melissa) Smith, Stacey Smith, Camille (Matt) Young, Anna and Nathanael Vetters, Jonathan and Alicia Kitts; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Jean Jardine Helton; his parents James and Sula Helton; his brothers Leonard, Wesley, Roy, Hobart, Oscar, Kelly, Dillard, Russell, Harlan; and sisters Lucille and Bessie. Glen graduated from Ezel School and Eastern Kentucky University. He taught social studies in Ezel, KY, Chillicothe and Middletown, OH. His priorities in life were his faith in God, his family and friends. He enjoyed basketball, checkers and other games. Services to be held Tuesday, June 13 at First Alliance Church, Lexington with visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Alliance Church.
