Local attorney receives alumni award from LCA

The Lexington Christian Academy recognized a local attorney as its 2017 distinguished alumni of the year.

On Friday, May 26, Peter Brackney, a graduate of the Lexington Christian Academy in 2002, was awarded the Lexington Christian Academy’s Christianos Distinguished Alumni Award for his contributions to his church, community and his profession. 

The distinguished alumni award is given to a person that typifies a commitment to Christ in every area of their lives and someone who has made contributions to their church, their community, or their profession. The award is named “Christianos” which, in Greek, means, “follower of Christ.” 

Brackney practices primarily in the areas of estate planning and bankruptcy at his firm, Brackney Law Office, PLLC in Lexington. He is also an active volunteer in Lexington and Nicholasville, with service on the boards of the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation, ProgressLex, the Lexington History, Museum, and Nicholasville NOW!. He also is very active in his church, South Elkhorn Christian Church.
