On May 26, a large crowd of community supporters and members of the community gathered at 2548 Sulphur Well Road for the formal induction of the Burley Ridge subdivision in the Chamber of Commerce. The subdivision—which is located on the southeastern side of Nicholasville—will consist of homes in the price range of $250,000-$450,000. The development was given the name Burley Ridge in honor of the tobacco farm that previously existed at the site, which was passed down to the developers from their grandfather. The streets in the subdivision are named for former tobacco warehouses in the Lexington area.
