Check Into Cash robbery investigation ongoing
The Check Into Cash store located at 1091 N. Main Street in Nicholasville was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday morning, May 18.
According to a statement issued by the Nicholasville Police Department, the subject—who was described in the press release as a short black male in his 20s or 30s—entered the store shortly before 11 a.m., covered his face with a bandana and pulled a handgun from his pants.
The suspect proceeded to have the clerk on duty place the money on hand into a bag that he handed her. The clerk was not injured, according to the report, and the suspect exited the store and fled to the parking lot of the nearby Someplace Inn. There, he entered the passenger side of a black Mazda car to leave the area.
