Kraemer elected District 8 commander

Robert “Skip” Kraemer of Jessamine County was elected District Eight Commander of the American Legion at the District Convention held on May 7 at the Jessamine County Senior Citizens Center. Kraemer, a combat veteran of the Vietnam War, replaces John “Rod” Bradshaw of Boyle County, who served two terms as District Eight Commander. Kraemer is also the Commander of Ray E. Miller Post No. 63 and is Vice Chairman of the Central Kentucky Veterans Committee which is responsible for planning the Memorial Day and Veterans Day Ceremonies at Camp Nelson Nation Cemetery.

Kraemer said that he is looking forward to working with the twelve American Legion Posts in District Eight, the ten other District Commanders and the Department of Kentucky Commander and Officers.
