—Crosswoods Baptist Church in Nicholasville will host their seventh anniversary Spring Jubilee at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 8. His Heart Quartet with special guest Mark Lanier will be performing in concert. 

—St. Athanasius will host Lazarus Saturday Liturgy at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 8. This event will include a pancake breakfast, Easter egg dyeing, Palm-folding and children’s confession. 

—St. Athanasius will host a Palm Sunday Vigil at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.

—Edgewood Baptist Church will host Palm Sunday Service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 9. Special music will be provided by the Sanctuary Choir.

—Edgewood Baptist Church will host JCMA Holy Week Services at 12 p.m. on April 10 through 14.

—St. Athanasius will host Reading of Gospel of John chapters 7 13:32 at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11. 

—St. Athanasius will host Bridegroom Matins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11. 

—St. Athanasius will host Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12.

—St. Athanasius will host Bridegroom Matins with Anointing at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12.  

—Edgewood Baptist Church will host Maundy Thursday Service at 5:30 p.m. on April 13. This service will include a meal, worship and Lord’s Supper.

—St. Athanasius will host Mystical Supper Liturgy at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 13. The supper will be followed by a soup and salad meal. 

—St. Athanasius will host Matins with 12 Passions Gospel Readings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13. 

—First Assembly of God, as well as other churches in the community, has joined a group called “Intercessors for America.” The purpose of the group is to pray for God’s divine guidance for the leaders of federal, state, counties and cities. The “Intercessors of America will meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the Jessamine County Courthouse lawn beginning in April and through the warmer weather. —A prayer meeting will be hosted every Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at Sonlight Fellowship Church of God at 216 E. Oak St. Everyone is welcome.

—Women’s Bible study will meet Thursday mornings from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Nicholasville Salvation Army, located at 205 South 1st Street. —Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera Bread, every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.

—Providence Christian Church, 101 Providence Way, hosts a “Bodies in Motion” low-impact exercise class every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

—Walking With Love’s Laundry Love ministry is offered every third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at Wildcat Laundry, 630 Edgewood Drive. Households of up to four people can do a double load of laundry for free; households of more than four people can do a triple load of laundry for free. Anyone can use the service, but each household is limited to using it once every three months. An I.D. will be requested in order to track how often households are using the service.

—Walking With Love Food Pantry at 220 Edgewood Drive is open from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

—Free meal offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday at 303 W. Maple Street in the Community Center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is a restaurant-quality hot, nutritionally balanced meal.  Take out meals are also available, one meal per person. The meal is funded by freewill donations from churches, businesses, and residents of Jessamine Co. No one is ever asked to pay for their meal. Volunteers are always welcome.
