The Nicholasville plant of Donaldson Company, Inc. was recently given the DPS (Donaldson Production System) Cup Award.
Donaldson is a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts. The 281,000-square-foot Nicholasville facility employs 177 people, according to a press release from Donaldson Company.
Each quarter, the company reviews the performance of its 20 American manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Performance is judged in six areas: budget management, customer delivery, customer quality, employee safety, inventory management and productivity. Based on these critically important metrics, a single operation is presented with the award to recognize the best performance.
Donaldson Nicholasville’s Plant Manager Tony James and his team won the Cup in Donaldson’s second quarter — November through January of the 2017 fiscal year.
The Nicholasville facility celebrated the win on March 15, 2017.
“From quality and efficient processes to ensuring a culture of safety on the floor, the Nicholasville team’s strong focus on our customers, dedication, and incredible teamwork are the backbone of our company’s success,” Donaldson Vice President of Global Operations Rich Lewis said in the press release. “I thank and congratulate the entire team on their tremendous achievement.”
In addition, the Kentucky Labor Cabinet recently presented the Governor’s Safety and Health Award to the Nicholasville Donaldson plant for outstanding safety and health performance.
