The East Jessamine Middle School Dance Team traveled to Somerset to attend the Kentucky Dance Coaches Organization Inc. Regional Competition. The team placed first in Hip Hop, first in Pom and won the Best of the Best Award. They also took first and second place in Solo Lyrical, second place in Jazz Solo, second place in Contemporary Solo, first place in Duet and first place in Trio. The girls also received a bid to the state competition, which will be hosted on Feb. 19 in Frankfort.
