— Come join Nicholasville Christian Church at its homecoming celebration on Sept. 25. Special speakers include Rev Nathan Wilson and Rev Larry Sivis. — A women’s Bible study will meet Thursdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Salvation Army on 205 South 1st St. during the fall. All women are invited. The group will be reading and studying scriptures related to the life of the disciples of Jesus. The book, “Twelve Ordinary Men” by John MacArthur, will be used as a supplement to the teaching. They will discuss a different disciple each week with an overview given Sept. 1. Bring your Bibles and learn together. No childcare is available. — Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera Bread, every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.

— Providence Christian Church, 101 Providence Way, hosts a “Bodies in Motion” low-impact exercise class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

— Walking With Love’s Laundry Love ministry is offered every third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at Wildcat Laundry, 630 Edgewood Drive. Households of up to four people can do a double-load of laundry for free; households of more than four people can do a triple-load of laundry for free. Anyone can use the service, but each household is limited to using it once every three months. An I.D. will be requested in order to track how often households are using the service.

— Walking With Love Food Pantry at 220 Edgewood Drive is open from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday.
