Letter to the editor | Jessamine is a warm, inviting county

Dear Editor,
A few years ago, my wife and I were looking for a place to buy land and build what would eventually become our retirement home. We were living in the Columbus, Ohio, area at the time. My wife is originally from Johnson County, Kentucky (Paintsville), and she wanted to return to the bluegrass.
We chose to purchase property in Jessamine County in February 2014, and we are glad we did. Since arriving in May of this year, and both of us starting our second careers, we have experienced nothing but warm, inviting southern hospitality.
Our neighbors, our new church, the retail establishments in Nicholasville and Wilmore have all been very friendly and willing to assist us as we learn the area.
The folks that we have run into in our work have all welcomed us to Jessamine County.
We look forward to becoming more involved in the community as we settle in.
And, we wanted the residents of Jessamine County to know how welcoming and beautiful the county is from people who have just arrived.
