Robert Dale McIntyre, 63, passed away on Monday, October 21st, 2024, at Central Baptist in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 5, 1961, to the late William Denton McIntyre and Norma Swallows Canter (Sterling). He attended Jessamine County High School and his last job was with Judge Executive Neil Cassidy/Jessamine County Road Department. He had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing around the community. He often visited nursing homes, elementary schools, and festivals in the area to play music. He was a frequent singer at Eckert’s Orchard in the fall. He played in many bands over years, most known with the Foul Play band.
He was preceded in death by his parents and special uncle Roger Swallows. Robert is survived by his daughter Morgan McIntyre of Nashville, TN and one brother, William Bill McIntyre (Anita) of Nashville, TN. In addition, he had three nephews: Adam McIntyre (Sherri), Brian McIntyre (Melissa), and Reese McIntyre (Ashley), and cousin, Connie Essex (Richard). He had a host of other cousins and family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to the Tennessee Children’s Home in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The family is conducting a private graveside service.
