Lloyd Wayne Savage, 77, husband of Vita Montgomery Savage, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at Baptist Health in Lexington. He was born in Jessamine County on September 15, 1945, to the late Dave Savage and Elsie Crowe Savage. Lloyd worked as a meter reader and a catch-all for Kentucky American Water for years and was also a United States Air Force veteran. He enjoyed doing electrical work in his free time and loved to watch The Price Is Right, NASCAR, and anything Western on TV. His family will hold many memories close by, including visits to the old US-27 drag strip to watch races together. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vita, daughters; Kathy Maree Hunter (Robert Kaelin), Lisa Ann Stratton (Ben), and Billie Leigh Banks (John); brothers, David Savage (Peggy), Billy Savage (Rita Parker), and Raymond Savage (Jackie); sister-in-law, Rita McBeath; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his beloved blue heeler, Tater Tot. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 25, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Stinnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Lloyd and his family in their time of need.
