Jessamine Co. Republican Women announce upcoming candidate forums

In an effort to inform the public regarding candidates running in the upcoming  May 16th Republican Primary, the Jessmaine County Repbulican Women will be holding two forums. These are open to the public. 

These events are to be informative  –  they are not debates. Candidates will introduce themselves and explain their platform. Prior to the beginning and after the speeches, the candidates will be able to visit with the guests individually.

On February 21, Central Bank, upstairs, from 6-7:30 p.m. Forum for Candidates for KY  State Treasurer are Andrew Cooperrider, Mark Metcalf, and OJ Oleka. Each candidate will be able to introduce themselves and speak for 10 minutes on their platform.  

On April 13,  at City Hall in Wilmore, from 6-7:30 p.m. will be the Gubernatorial Forum. A food truck will have sandwiches, snacks and drinks available for purchase. All 12  Republican Candidates have been invited to attend this forum – Daniel Cameron,  Jacob Clark, David Cooper, Kelly Knight Craft, Bob DeVore, Eric Deters, Mike  Harmon, Alan Keck, Dennis Ray Ormerod, Ryan Quarles, Johnny Ray Rice and Robbie Smith. They will introduce themselves and have an opportunity to explain their platform. Candidates will be available to visit before the program begins at 6:00 as well as afterward.  

The regular JCRW meeting on March 21 will be held at Central Bank, upstairs, from 6:00 – 7:30 p. m. Chairman of the Jessamine County School Board, Steven  Scrivner, will be the featured speaker. 

On April 28, at One Oak Venue, will be the site of the 2023 Jessamine County Lincoln  Day Dinner. Tickets are available for $50.00, plus processing fees at  www.jessaminedinner.com All Gubernatorial candidates and all constitutional  Officer candidates will be able to speak briefly.
