Nicholasville PD seizes over 310 grams of meth

The Nicholasville Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit seized over $3,000 worth of drugs on Oct. 11, according to a social media release.

During a recent operation, a vehicle containing two individuals, 44-year-old Mike Trent and 24-year-old Kimberly Erb, was pulled over for a routine traffic stop. The traffic stop eventually yielded 318 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $3,339, according to the release.

Both Trent and Erb were arrested and charged with 1st-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, according to the release.

Erb and Trent are both being lodged at the Jessamine County Detention Center.

The police department asks that the community forward any knowledge of narcotics trafficking to the drug enforcement unit at drugtip@nicholasville.org or 859-881-5082.

In other police news:

The NFD  is seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in reference to the burglary of the Neon Nights Bar located at 210 East Maple Street, according to a social media release.

The crime occurred on Oct. 7 at around 5 a.m. One suspect is believed to have been wearing a sweatshirt with a cardinal logo, and the other is believed to have worn a Carhartt sweatshirt and arrived at the scene via bicycle.

Both suspects fled the scene, pushing a Burning Barrel gaming machine.
