Two local men arrested for drug trafficking

Two Jessamine County men were recently arrested for drug trafficking by the Nicholasville Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit in the past week, according to a social media release from the NPD.

Forty-nine-year-old Julian Brown and 48-year-old Ronnie Johnson were both arrested during separate search warrant operations at 544 Bell Place Dr. and 212 Foxwood Dr.

The NPD’s release says that the operations were in response to complaints about drug trafficking in the community.

Brown faces one charge of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, and a charge of violating probation. He is currently lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond and appeared in court on Oct. 3.

Johnson faces one charge of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. He is lodged at the Jessamine County Detention Center on a $2,500 cash bond and will appear in court on Oct. 10.
