Richard Allan Pook, 89, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his Nicholasville, Kentucky home. He was born September 5, 1933 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada to the late Charles Henry and Nellie Pook.
Richard was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He served in the Canadian Army from 1954-1957 as an intelligence specialist. In 1994, Richard became a naturalized US citizen; he was extremely proud of his dual citizenship. Richard was a lifelong learner who also loved telling jokes, playing bridge, golf, as well as traveling with his wife.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Brenda Pook; one daughter, Charlanne Pook; one sister, Ann Hens; and several loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and David Pook.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators/Hospice 1733 Harrodsburg Road Lexington, Kentucky 40504 or Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church 101 Cumberland Street Glasgow, Kentucky 42141. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
The funeral service for Mr. Pook will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 1st at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
