This event will be held at 5220 Grey Oak Lane in Nicholasville on Wednesday, August 31, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Catered refreshments and tours of their apartments and amenities will be available.

Bridgepointe is part of Christian Care Communities. It is the only facility in Nicholasville that includes multiple care levels allowing residents to age in the same facility. Bridgepoint provides independent living, assisted living, personal care, memory care, dementia day center, and long-term care. The latter offers the highest level of care.

“24/7 nursing care, medication management. If they need help, obviously people that are in nursing homes may need to be a two-person assist, they may need help feeding themselves, so we provide that level of care,” said Sarah Rowe, the Community Relations Manager.

At Bridgepointe, residents can choose a studio or one-bedroom apartment, including a bedroom, a kitchenette area, and a bathroom. The one bedroom includes a living room.

“We really try to find their life story out so we can cater to them and what their needs are, what their likes are, and what their dislikes are,” said Rowe.

An activity coordinator engages residents with events for different interests and ability levels. All meals are included for residents.

“In 15 years, half the population will be 65 and older. We have a very high aging population because of the Baby Boomers. The biggest population is they are getting older. So, we’re trying to service that demographic and make sure their needs are provided right there in Jessamine County,” said Rowe.
