Doris Ann Whitaker Adams, 85, widow of William E. Adams, died Thursday, July 28, 2022, at her home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was born on August 9, 1936, in Nicholasville, Kentucky to the late Virgil May Whitaker and the late Pearl Sharp Whitaker. She is survived by five children, Bonnie Ferioli, Marsha O’Connor, James Gosser, Darrell Adams, and Gary (Angela) Adams, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, Ray (Pat) Whitaker and sister, Mary Lyle Cartwright. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wheeler, two brothers, Victor Whitaker and Jimmy Whitaker and a sister, Virgie Hager. Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as bearers. Visitation will be 5-7:00 PM, Monday, August 1, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Adams family in their time of need.
