Norma Jean Carl, 78, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at her home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was born June 16, 1943, in Nicholasville to the late Russell Hughes and the late Lucille Burton Hughes. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Elaine Abney (Gerald), Naomi James (Harry), sister, Barbara Brooks (Wayne) Ex-Husband, Richard Carl, Jr., nephew, Harry Brooks, Jr., grandchildren, Christopher Carl, Angela Prigge, Matthew Abney, Anthony Brown, Jenni Haynes and her step granddaughter, Elisha Sanders and multiple great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by brother, Austin Hughes, and her Darling Baby Girl. Services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Gerald Abney, Matthew Abney, Harry Brooks, Jr., Wayne Brooks, Eric Prigge and Kenny Burton. Honorary Bearer will be Richard C.
