Weaver frequently speaks at schools and offers demonstration events to highlight agriculture and leadership development. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she created an online “Bake-A-Long” program. This was one of the most successful virtual 4-H programs in the state.

“I believe the promotion of agriculture, especially to our Kentucky youth, is a pinnacle part of their education.  To be able to help youth understand what goes into our food and fiber system is critical for their future support of Agriculture,” said Weaver. “I cannot put into words how honored I am to be selected for this award. I am so thankful to be recognized by Kentucky Farm Bureau and our local Farm Bureau. I never dreamed that my work would be recognized like this.”

She was nominated for the KFB Farm Public Relations Award by Jessamine County Farm Bureau.

Kentucky Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization with more than 465,000 member families. For more news and updates from Kentucky Farm Bureau, visit KYFBNewsroom.com.
