Helen Corman Brown, 78, wife of James M. Brown, passed away November 8, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Doak Y. and Agnes Merrimon Corman and was preceded in death by a brother, Ballard M. Corman. Helen was an active member of the Nicholasville Presbyterian Church, the Linda Simpson Circle, the Nicholasville Presbyterian Women of the Church, and the Camp Nelson Presbyterian Church, where she served as a pianist. Helen was also a former member of the Lena Madison Business and Professional Woman’s Club, the Lexington Insurance Women’s Club, and an active Kentucky Colonel. She retired from the University of Kentucky after approximately 25 years of service. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, November 12, 2021, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home. Contributions may be as one wishes or to the Jessamine County Hospice Association, Jessamine County Humane Society, or Nicholasville Presbyterian Church.
