After months of work, the Nicholasville Police Department launched a community outreach program called Operation Copsicle.

The Operation Copsicle truck will travel Nicholasville streets, stopping in neighborhoods to chat with kids and pass out summer treats. 

“Operation Copsicle creates another way for us to connect with kids as well as adults,” said Nicholasville Police Sgt. Kevin Grimes. “We hope that it can help humanize the badge and uniform and allow us to connect with the community as a person and not just a guy or gal in a uniform.”
