Robert Ray Parks, 87 of Nicholasville, Kentucky, current resident of Landmark Nursing Home in Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2020. He is the husband of 66 years to Ann Masters Parks. Robert is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He is retired from Woodall Construction as a heavy equipment operator and he enjoyed playing the guitar, Harley Davison Motorcycles, and running with his Hardee’s crew. Other than his wife he is survived by two daughters, Debbie Hager of Nicholasville, KY and Teresa Walker of Winchester, TN. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Chasity Garner, Misty Hager (Kim), Deana Hurt – Tuminski, and Jeremy Walker, and several great and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Burch A. Hager, and Rick Walker, and three grandchildren, Valerie Hager Adkins, Joshua Hager, and Ricky Joe Walker. Services were held 1:00PM, Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Graveside services were conducted 2:30 PM Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Doodle Peel, Billy Teater, Wayne East, David Marshall, Eugene Underwood, Henry Ryan, and Gordon Cobb. Honorary Bearers will be Mickey Houp, Brenda Jasper and Joyce Kelley.
