Lexington Women’s Health now has a third location, in the Brannon Crossing development in Nicholasville.

The clinic, which offers OB/GYN services, had a reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony last Friday at its offices at 615 E. Brannon Road, Suite 200. The others are at 1720 Nicholasville Road, Suite 702, and 1775 Alysheba Way, Suite 180 in Hamburg Pavilion.

“We are here to invest in the women of Jessamine County and the Bluegrass, and we really hope that you help us fulfill that journey,” Tanya Bolton, marketing director, said in comments to local Chamber of Commerce members, medical professionals and others who were invited to the event last Friday. “Our motto is that we will treat you like you would want to be treated, like you were our family member, our sister, our friend or our mother, and that’s what we will do.”

She thanked those responsible for the new building and its design and technology, the medical providers, community members and others who made the office building possible.

Dr. Jennifer Fuson, the owner and founder of Lexington Women’s Health, had the honor of cutting the ribbon and greeted guests.

“This has been a dream of mine for quite a while, and I’m very happy to be opening up in Jessamine County, and I’m just thrilled with the turnout from the chamber. They’ve been very generous with this welcome,” she said.

Lexington Women’s Health was established July 1, 2007. Its medical providers include board-certified obstetrician/gynecologists, certified nurse midwives, physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses, supported by trained staff members.

Services it offers include maternity care, midwifery, Caesarean sections, gynecology, sterilization, alternatives to hysterectomy, DaVinci robotic surgery, minimally-invasive surgery and weight loss treatment.

The grand opening for the public was Monday.

Family practice opens

Moments after Lexington Women’s Health had its ribbon cutting, there was a similar ceremony downstairs in the same building for another health care provider, Family Practice Associates.

The general medical provider, which has existed for 35 years, also has a location at 1775 Alysheba Way.

During the open house last Friday, Dr. Keith Applegate and the chief executive officer, Craig Gillispie of Wilmore, welcomed the guests.

“It’s been a long journey to get here, and we feel so blessed and so happy to be here. We so appreciate your warmth and your hospitality of having us here, and we hope we are bringing something special to Jessamine County and Nicholasville. So we are just so excited to be here,” Applegate said.

Patients can contact the Nicholasville branch at 859-278-6867.
