Homeowner interrupts burglary

Police arrested a Lancaster man for allegedly breaking into a home and stealing a number of items, after the homeowner interrupted the crime.

According to Nicholasville Police, officers were called to 405 Wichita Drive at 11:53 a.m. Jan. 29. The homeowner told police he returned home to find a window open and a person standing at the bottom of the steps. The person then fled from the home.

Officers found a person matching the suspect’s description at Bellechase and Nottaway Drive. During a search, officers found several rings and a watch which belonged to the homeowner, along with a knife and a screwdriver.

Jesse Noe, 40, was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
