Woman indicted for DUI crash

A Jessamine County woman was indicted on multiple charges after she allegedly crashed into a house and ran away.

Leidy Quiroga Bautista, 27, of 125 Ridge View Drive, was arrested Dec. 22, 2019, by police following the crash on Rowanberry Drive.

According to Nicholasville Police, officers responded to a report of a crash at 4:50 a.m. after a vehicle struck two homes. The second home, at 105 Rowanberry Drive, was struck outside a bedroom where two children were sleeping, No one was injured, police said.

Bautista fled the scene before police arrived, but officers found her lying in the grass several houses away.

According to the arrest citation, Bautista admitted drinking two shots and a beer prior to the crash. She also said she had been in an argument with her girlfriend.

Bautista was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.

The grand jury also returned the following indictments Jan. 22:

— Tyler Berndt, driving under the influence (third offense), driving on a DUI-suspended operator’s license (second offense).

— Kevin Carter, driving under the influence (fourth offense), no or expired registration plate.

— Jeremy Corman, first-degree promoting contraband, fourth-degree assault, third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Kevin Cross, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (two counts), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting contraband, driving on a suspended operator’s license.

— Dezmond Davis, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, giving a peace officer false identifying information.

— David Michael Goforth and Rodney Wayne Brownlee, first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Matthew Hammons, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

— William Kairn, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Robin Carlos Melton, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting contraband.

— James Napier, tampering with physical evidence.

— Lakin Riley Todd, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), first-degree promoting contraband, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, terroristic threatening, driving on a DUI-suspended operator’s license.

— Brandon Dwayne Woods, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication.

— Jodi Fuller, first-degree promoting contraband, theft by unlawful taking over $500, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest.

— Clifton Guy, first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence.

— Andrea Johnson, first-degree promoting contraband, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication.

— Samuel McKinley, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

— Alexander McMeans, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence (second offense).

— Brian Purcell, first-degree strangulation.

— Jacob Tankersley, first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Ronnie Underwood, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Kathryn Vonhatten, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking less than $500.
