Police arrested a Nicholasville man for allegedly assaulting another person following an argument Jan. 1.

Victor L. Moore, 33, of 110 Lowell Court, was charged with fourth-degree assault and driving on a suspended operator’s license.

Nicholasville Police were called to Moore’s residence at 12:35 p.m. Jan. 1 for a report of a verbal domestic disturbance. Before officers arrived, dispatchers advised both people had left in separate vehicles, one following the other. Officers stopped both vehicles at Edgewood Plaza. Officers said Moore had a bloody lip, but Moore refused to speak about it.

The other person said they were arguing about Moore smoking marijuana. The victim told police he attempted to throw the marijuana away, but Moore allegedly grabbed the person and pushed him to the ground and down the driveway.
