The annual St. Nich Fest came to Nicholasville last Saturday.
Resident and visitors were offered the chance to start their day off with a pancake breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Catalyst Christian Church. After which. They could head down the street to J’s Place for Candyland Cookie fun presented by Jessamine Christian Church or head over to Oak Street to Off Main Cheer to create an ornament and make reindeer food.
In the Central Bank parking lot, the annual Rotary Chili Lunch helped warm up those in attendance. An old-fashioned Trolley helped those who attended the festival to visit Nicholasville Elementary for the Jingle and Mingle Craft Fair or out to the Coolidge Building for shopping from craft vendors, games for kids and refreshments.
The animal shelter offered pet owners a chance to take their picture with the Grinch, and several shops throughout town were open for Christmas shopping and giveaways. JCPL offered reindeer games and the night concluded with the annual St. Nich parade down Main Street featuring Santa Claus on an old-fashioned fire truck waving at those on the streets below.
