Caleb Lynn recently attended training which will help him institute brain research and theory in the classroom.
An Asbury University student, Lynn completed student teaching at Jessamine County High School, and recently completed Kagan Brain Friendly Two-Day Training at the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC) in Lexington along with his supervising teacher, West Jessamine County High School Social Studies teacher and ASPIRE Teacher Leader, James Botts, as a part of KEDC’s ASPIRE Program.
Research shows that students learn better, quickly, retain and recall more knowledge, and are more likely to like learning more if the six essential principles of brain science are employed to align teaching with how students’ brains naturally learn. Teachers were immersed in interactive learning to gain practical tools, tips and structures to easily make the leap from theory to practice during the two week event.
