James Monroe Homes in Nicholasville takes on three-to-four-year project

James Monroe Homes has opened a new community in Nicholasville with six floor plans to choose from within minutes to downtown, shopping, parks and local schools.
“The town is growing and with a short drive to Lexington it makes it an ideal spot for new construction,” Crystal Towe with RE/MAX Elite Realty said. “Limited land available inside Lexington, and the cost of land, is making home prices drastically increase. This new development by James allows him to control land cost and lot size. Something that is rare with a builder. Typically, lots are purchased from a developer. In this case, James is that developer. (This) means better pricing and bigger lots.”
With the first homeowner moving in Aug. 30, Towe said multiple homes are now in the construction phase which allows customers to chose from multiple buildings and lots for their new home. Office hours are noon to 5 p.m. daily, and the leasing office is located off Sulphur Well Road across from East Jessamine High School. Housing prices start at $215,000 and feature floor plans from three to five bedrooms ranging in size of 1,580 to 2,556 square feet.
“Staged model homes show customers all the options available. Kiosks show customers features, colors, customizations available and more,” Towe said.
Schools available for residents who chose to purchase a home include Warner Elementary, East Jessamine Middle School and East Jessamine High School.
The site encompasses up to 25 acres and will include three acres of green space for the community.
The project is estimated to be completed in three to four years.
