Asbury Seminary to host 2019 Biblical Languages Colloquium
Asbury Theological Seminary’s Eta Beta Rho and Gamma Rho Kappa announced it will host the 2019 Biblical Languages Colloquium, titled “The Old Testament is Alive!” from 8 a.m. to noon March 29. Speakers include Dr. Brent A. Strawn, William Ragsdale Cannon Distinguished Professor of Old Testament at Candler School of Theology, and Dr. Ben Witherington III, Jean R. Amos Professor of New Testament for Doctoral Studies at Asbury Seminary. This year’s topic explores the role of biblical language and literacy within the life of the Church. Episcopal Church invites community to observe lent
The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection invites the community to join them as they observe the season of Lent, March 13-April 10, in preparation for Easter. Sunday services will be held at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Breakfast is from 9:20 – 9:45 a.m., and classes for all ages will begin at 9:40 – 10:15 a.m. and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. For more information visit the churches Facebook page at @churchoftheresurrectionepiscopal.

Spring revival at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist next month
Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, located at 1001 Mt. Lebanon Road, will host its revival series March 15 – 17. Friday and Saturday services will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday morning service will start at 11 a.m with an evening service at 7 p.m.. A potluck will be served at 5:30 p.m. Saturday March 16 with service following at 7:30 p.m.. Speaker Dr. Al Gwinn Jr. will be featured. Gwinn has served as a pastor of Centenary UMC in Lexington, and as a Lexington district superintendent. He is a retired Bishop of the North Carolina Conference in the Raleigh area. Providence Christian Church hosting Bodies in Motion exercise class
Providence Christian Church announced it will host a “Bodies in Motion” exercise class each Monday and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., located at 101 Providence Way, Nicholasville.  All are welcome to come and enjoy senior-appropriate movement to enhance strength, balance, and flexibility.  For more information, call 859-272-3655.
Bethel Harvest Church offers food distribution
Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Road, will host a food distribution every Thursday from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. The event is free to all Jessamine County residents who present a county ID.
