Georgetown man arrested for marijuana
John R. McFarland, 27, of 110 Robin Road in Georgetown, was arrested Feb. 16 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and possession of marijuana, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers observed McFarland stepping out of a vehicle in the Lowes parking lot. McFarland allegedly had erratic movements, slurred speech and was unable to stand still while speaking to the officer.
McFarland allegedly told officers he had marijuana in his shirt pocket. He was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for DUI
Dylan McKay Wilson, 27, of 119 Briarwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 27 for reckless driving, driving on a DUI suspended license, failure to maintain required insurance and DUI, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Wilson was observed crossing the center line several times while driving by officers and a traffic stop was conducted at the above location. According to the citation, Wilson allegedly had blood shot eyes and slurred speech. Wilson provided the officer with an ID card, which when ran through NCIC, stated it was suspended for a previous DUI.
Wilson’s plates and insurance were also expired, according to the citation. A field sobriety test was performed, which Wilson failed. Wilson was also in possession of a Bud Light Premium which was half full and cold to the touch. He was arrested and transported to the Jessamine Count Detention Center, according to the citation.

Cynthiana man arrested for heroin
Jason Hobabe Hensley, 38, of 332 Clifton Village in Cynthiana, was arrested Feb. 27 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and giving officer false identifying information, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Hensley was a passenger in a vehicle and was seen trying to conceal something in his hoodie pocket when officers approached the vehicle.
Hensley was described as extremely nervous and fidgety. When asked what he was trying to conceal, he allegedly told the officers “nothing.“
Hensley was also seen grabbing his wallet and sticking it in the floor board of the vehicle.
When asked what his name was, he gave officers false information which was later confirmed when officers found his wallet and were able to identify him as Hensley. It was also confirmed he had two active warrants for his arrest.
Hensley was asked to step out of the vehicle and be patted down by officers. Officers were also able to gain access to the vehicle for a search, which resulted in the officers finding a Walmart receipt in Hensley’s wallet with a gray powder substance in it suspected to be heroin. Hensley was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for methamphetamine
Whitney B. Watts, 27, of 3030 Lexington Road Apt. 58 in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 27 for theft by unlawful taking under $500, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to Kroger on South Main Street in reference to a possible shoplifter. When officers arrived on scene, the assistant manager identified the suspect as Watts, and said they had been watching her because she was acting suspicious. The assistant manager told officers they watched Watts removing items from packaging and concealing them.
Watts’ information was run through dispatch. While still on the property, Watts allegedly informed officers she had methamphetamine and a syringe in her purse. She also told officers she had planned to go to the store and shoot up on the property.
Watts was arrested and upon entering the Jessamine County Detention Center, her purse was searched and officers confiscated methamphetamine, an elastic band and a syringe, according to the citation.

Lexington woman arrested for marijuana
Mackenzie S. Stafiej, 25, 2404 Mirahall Drive Apt. D in Lexington, was arrested March 2 for no registration receipt, possession of marijuana, DUI and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Stafiej was seen traveling on East Brannon Road with expired registration plates. After stopping the vehicle and approaching the driver’s side, officers allegedly could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Stafiej was asked to step out of the vehicle. Officers asked her if there was any marijuana located in the vehicle. She allegedly told them “yes”, and handed them a half-smoked blunt from her jacket pocket.
Officers allegedly smelled alcohol coming from Stafiej as well. When asked if she would take a preliminary breath test, she said “no”. A field sobriety test was performed, which she failed.
Stafiej was placed under arrest. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a half empty bottle of whiskey, according to the citation. Stafiej reportedly only had a learner’s permit and was driving without a licensed driver present. Stafiej was transported to St. Joseph Jessamine before being transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for marijuana
Michelle R. Blevins, 46, of 228 Chrisman Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested March 2 for operating on a suspended or revoked license and possession of marijuana, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Blevins was observed traveling on US 27. Upon running her license plate, it was confirmed Blevins was driving on a suspended license. Upon searching the vehicle, officers confiscated marijuana and a marijuana brownie, according to the citation.
Blevins allegedly told officers the marijuana weighted a little less than an eighth of an ounce, she paid $50 for it and bought it for a friend.
Blevins was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Stephen Smith, 39, of 4685 Highbridge Road in Wilmore, was arrested for contempt of court.
— Chris R. Underwood, 32, was arrested for non-payment of court costs and a Garrard County warrant.
— Richard L. Houp,42, of 105 Rarrick Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 23 for second-degree robbery.
— James L. Faulner, 41, of 321 Bainbridge Drive #301 in Lexington, was arrested Feb. 24 for DUI.
— Justin Kyle Riester, 28, of 5131 Danville Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 24 for no registration plate, failure to maintain required insurance, DUI and possession of an open alcoholic container in a vehicle.
— William D. Weigle, 22, of 143 Allison Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 24 for violation of a Kentucky emergency protection order.
— Clayton Hensley, 49, of 427 Georgetown St. in Lexington, was arrested Feb. 25 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
