The Animal Hospital of Nicholasville recently donated oxygen kits/mask for animals due to fires to the Nicholasville Fire Department. “Over the last few years we have been on calls that have involved pets with some of these pets in distress at the time and we did what we could with varying results,” Nicholasville Fire Chief Mark Case said. “Before purchasing, we decided to reach out to some local veterinarian offices to see if they could help us a little or know of any grants that may be available to purchase the masks. It didn’t take long for one of our local veterinarians to step up and help. We were very grateful to Dr. Dan Bowling and Dr. Stacey Burdick of the Animal Hospital of Nicholasville for purchasing six of the WAG N Pet Oxygen Mask kits for our department. These kits with masks will help us provide a better overall service to our community and their pets.”
