Fall market and Country Breakfast at High Bridge

A Fall Market and Country Breakfast is scheduled at the High Bridge Fire House Community Center, located in High Bridge, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Shoppers can enjoy a home cooked breakfast and then shop from crafters, direct sales merchandise, baked goods, junk and treasures. Vendor space is still available for $10 with table and chairs provided. Contact or call 858-3895.

Alzheimer’s disease discussion at Wesley Village

Wesley Village, located at 1125 Lexington Road in Wilmore, will host Dr. Daniela Moga from the University of Kentucky for an event focusing on the research and delay of Alzheimer’s disease. For more information call Alan at 859-858-3865 ext. 238.

Historical Society holds monthly meeting

The quarterly meeting of the Jessamine County Historical and Genealogical Society is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at 216 N. Main St. in Nicholasville.  Election of a director to the board of directors, information regarding the honoring of WWI participants on Veterans Day and a report on a large donation recently received are on the agenda.  Local members are urged to attend. Head Start presents ‘trunk or treat’

Head Start, located at 1330 Drake Lane in Wilmore, will host a ‘trunk or treat’ event from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29. Those who join are asked to decorate the trunk of their car and bring some candy. 150 people are estimated to be in attendance. For more information or to RSVP, call 858-2585.

Jessamine DUI offers education program

The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.  Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. Well nutrition hosts Body Recall
