It is an old rivalry for a great cause.

The hosting East Jessamine Jaguars outlasted the West Jessamine Colts  28-19 to win four consecutive R.J. Corman Cancer Awareness Bowls.

East improves to 4-6 on the season and are the 3rd seed in the district.

The Jaguars had five running backs who combined for 236 yards on 26 carries. Junior Valdon Miles had two TDs while Zion Morgan had one. Jaylen Taylor had a touchdown on a kickoff return.

East Jessamine has a bye this week and will return to the field with an away non-conference game at John Hardin in Elizabethtown, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.

The Colts now have a 4-5 record. They take the field Friday when they travel to Woodford County for a non-league game. West will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 48-20 loss to Montgomery County in the conference. The Yellowjackets are struggling this year with a record of 1-8.
