The Jessamine Career and Technology Center Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter attended the FCCLA Regional Fall Meeting Sept. 28 at Eastern Kentucky University. FCCLA chapter officers across the region were trained in their perspective office. Lauren Baker, regional vice president of public relations, and Connor Stutsman, regional vice president of competitive events, assisted in training the officers. Hannah Kimmel, state vice president of peer education, presided over the meeting as well. A focus of the meeting was the statewide community service project in order to raise money for Sepsis Alliance and a student who overcame sepsis was there to share her story. The state’s goal is to raise $15,000 for the alliance this year.
