Lexington man arrested for marijuana

William L. Kanatzer, 41, of 1349 Centre Parkway Apt. 1115 in Lexington, was arrested Oct. 1 for no registration plates, DUI, failure to maintain required insurance, disregarding a stop sign, possession of marijuana, illegal possession of legend drug and a prescription container not in a proper container, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers observed Kanatzer’s vehicle in the roadway at the intersection of Biloxi and Gainsville Drive. The vehicle disregarded the stop sign at the intersection when making a turn onto Shun Pike. Officers conducted a traffic stop.

Kanatzer admitted he did not have insurance on the vehicle. The vehicle also had a canceled registration because of the lack of insurance.

Kanatzer was asked if he had anything on him he was not supposed to, and he allegedly said no. Kanatzer emptied his pockets, which revealed a prescription for Suboxone.

He also allegedly admitted to officers he had marijuana, Tizanidine and Gabapentin in the vehicle. Kanatzer was arrested and transported to St. Joseph Jessamine for a blood test, after which he was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Wilmore man arrested for marijuana

Erwin M. Gonzalez, 38, of 325 E. Main St. in Wilmore, was arrested Oct. 6 for DUI, possession of marijuana and no operators moped license, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Gonzalez’s vehicle was swerving out of his lane on US 27, and allegedly stopped and then took off when a traffic stop was initiated on North Main Street near Strawberry Lane.

Gonzalez’s vehicle then turned onto High Street almost striking the curb. 

Gonzalez was described as  having glassy red eyes, and allegedly told officers he had one beer. Gonzalez was asked to step out of his vehicle and was allegedly seen removing a clear bag from this back pocket and tossing it back into the vehicle. The bag allegedly contained suspected marijuana.

A field sobriety test was performed, which Gonzalez failed. Gonzalez was transported to St. Joseph Jessamine where he submitted to a blood test before being transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Stanton man arrested for public intoxication

Darren Patton, 22, of 653 N. Main St. in Stanton, was arrested Oct. 4 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to North Main Street in reference to a man walking around shirtless and acting strange. Officers allegedly observed Patton walking in circles with no shirt in the rain, throwing his arms around and yelling at cars passing by.

Patton told officers he was trying to get back to Powell County. Patton was allegedly moving his arms uncontrollably and having difficulty standing still. He allegedly seemed confused and his story reportedly was not making sense.

Patton allegedly did not know what day or month it was, and told officers he had taken Suboxone.

Patton was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Man arrested for public intoxication

Aaron T. McElroy, 24, address unknown, was arrested Oct.1 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to Snap Fitness on South Main Street concerning a suspicious subject at the side of the building. When officers arrived, they found McElroy passed out on the sidewalk, bent over at this knees. He was non-compliant when asked to take his hands out of his T-shirt. 

When McElroy began to wake up, he allegedly told officers he thought he was on Wichita Drive. When asked what he had taken, he said he did not know.

After conducting a search, officers found multiple needles and drug paraphernalia inside a bag. McElroy’s belongings were allegedly scattered all over the sidewalk.

He was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for heroin

Lesia White, 48, of 105 Wolfe St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 3 for second-degree promoting contraband, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of marijuana, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

White was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center for a Jessamine County warrant. At the jail, White was asked if she was concealing anything, and she would not respond.

An officer at the detention center allegedly noticed White concealing something in her mouth. The officer asked White to spit it out, and she would not.

Using force, the officer retrieved a small bag from White’s mouth, containing alleged heroin.  Upon further search, detention center staff allegedly discovered a small bag of marijuana in her pocket.

White was then transported to St. Joseph Jessamine for treatment, according to the citation.

Danville man arrested for reckless driving, concealed weapon and marijuana

Michael Thomas Kuchenbrod, 22, of 844 Boyd Ave. in Danville, was arrested Sept. 30 for reckless driving, DUI, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and disregarding a traffic light, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Kuchenbrod was traveling on US 27 at a high rate of speed and changing lanes in an unsafe manner on the roadway allegedly nearly striking a vehicle at the south junction of US 27 where he disregarded a stop light.

After stopping Kuchenbrod, officers allegedly smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

When asked if he had smoked marijuana, Kuchenbrod told officers he had smoked earlier in the day and also drank two beers.

Kuchenbrod was asked to step out of the vehicle and a field sobriety test was performed which Kuchenbrod failed. When asked if he had anything that would prevent him from taking a balance test, he allegedly told officers, “he was nervous as hell and wouldn’t be able to pass.”

Kuchenbrod was arrested for DUI. A search of the vehicle resulted in the confiscation of a handgun located in a backpack in Kuchenbrod’s passenger seat. A marijuana and a marijuana grinder were also found on the floor of the vehicle.

Kuchenbrod was transported to St. Joseph Jessamine for a blood test, after which he was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Candice Mackie, 27, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Sept. 27 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), theft of identity of another without consent and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— David Miller, 50, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Sept. 27 for failure to pay.

— Amy Clark, 38, of Jessamine Station, was arrested Sept. 27 for failure to pay and contempt.

— Dejon Little, 28, of 221 Stirrup Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 27 for contempt.

— Lindsay Ward, 32, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Sept. 28 for a parole violation.

— Ronald Grupka, 28, was arrested Sept. 28 for failure to appear.

— Opal Howard, 47, of 256 Jason Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 1 for failure to appear and non-payment of court costs.

— James C. Ball, 65, of 2108 Palamor Trace Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 1 for leaving the scene of an accident with failure to render aid or assistance.

— Christy Oiler, 47, of 201 Lincoln Trail Road in Stanford, was arrested Oct. 1 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and contempt of court.

— David Alfred Smith, 48, of 201 N. Second St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 1 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.

— Tristan Cole Robinson, 26, address unknown, was arrested Oct. 1 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).

— Rebecca A. Hatfield, 46, of 334 Ethel Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 1 for failure to appear.

— Kevin W. Deaton, 35, of 1086 Delaney Ferry Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 1 for a Jessamine County warrant.

— William Graham, 41, of 500 Beauford Place Apt. 23 in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 2 for failure to appear, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

— Jacob D. Powell, 27, address unknown, was arrested Oct. 2 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Justin P. Cheek, 39, of 111 Coconut Grove in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 2 for a parole violation.

— Elysa Lee, 25, of 720 S. Main St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 2 for fourth-degree assault.

— Scotty Wilhoite, 49, of 105 Birch Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 2 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Austin A. Stuban, 22, of 420 Perry Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 2 for theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000.

— Leisa White, 49, of 105 Wolfe St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 3 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Curtis Steven Lapierre, 59, of 913 Pinoak Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 3 for fourth-degree assault.

— Constantine Budovsky, 39, of 4841 Cufford Circle in Lexington, was arrested Oct. 3 for a Scott County warrant.

— Shelby G. Carrier Jr., 56, of 111 Liberty St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 3 for a Madison County warrant.

— David J. Murray, 54, of 112 Angela Trail in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 3 for a Jessamine County warrant.

— Lisa Watts, 23, of 119 W. Brown St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 3 for failure to appear.

— Logan Cross, 19, of 304 Williamsburg Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 4 for contempt and non-payment of court costs.

— Steven Pastor, 52, of 1128 Orchard Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct . 4 for failure to appear.

— James Turner, 19, of 302 Waberto in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 4 for failure to comply with court order.
