LilliAnne Elizabeth Faulk, 20, of Nicholasville, passed away on Sept. 23, 2018.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1998, in Lexington.

LilliAnne is survived by her parents Troy and Jennifer Faulk and brother Caleb Faulk of Nicholasville; grandparents Dale and Charlotte Faulk of Madisonville, Kentucky and Robert Brown of Hanson, Kentucky; Uncles Colby (Kim) Faulk, Kevin (Chelsey) Faulk, Keith Faulk; Aunts Thia Faulk, Kathie Menke and Sherri (Mark) Wyatt; several cousins and her best friend Raesta Boggs. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Wilma Brown.

LilliAnne was a talented young woman. She excelled at many things from dance to drawing to yoga and beyond. She was a free spirit. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. She was a natural teacher. She touched the life of anyone she came in contact with. Her life was not without struggle, she battled an invisible illness that few understood, for that we are proud of her.
She will forever be missed. The world will be a little dimmer without her shining light.

Services for LilliAnne will be held Today at 5 p.m. with a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing-Nicholasville, KY.
The family has requested contributions be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Alexis B. McKinney

Oct. 7, 1991 – Sept. 21, 2018

Alexis B. McKinney, 26, our sweet daughter, passed away. Alexis was born in Lexington, Kentucky to Mark and Rebecca McKinney on Oct. 7, 1991. She is survived by her sister, Kurstin Lynn McKinney, and a loving extended family.

Thelma Spencer Combs

Sept. 15, 1943 – Sept. 23, 2018

Thelma Spencer Combs, 75, wife of Donald, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 23, 2018.

Thelma was born to Kelman Spencer and Eliza Gilbert Spencer on Sept. 15, 1943 in Breathitt County. She was a ‘coal miner’s daughter’ raised at the Blue Diamond Coal mining camp at Leatherwood in Perry County, graduating from Leatherwood High School in 1962, the same year she married her husband Donald Combs.
Don and Thelma lived most of their adult life in Lexington and Nicholasville, having resided in Nicholasville for the past 42 years where they raised their sons Brandon and Jason. Thelma worked in management positions at S.S. Kresge’s, Hallmark and JC Penney’s and worked in various other activities before becoming a homemaker. Thelma was a devoted Christian who loved family very much, a hard worker, and was a giving, gracious and caring woman to all. 

Thelma is survived by her husband Donald R. Combs and two sons, Brandon and Jason (Bree) Combs; four sisters, Bonnie Garrett, Aleene (Glenn) Creech, Dottie Sue (Ralph) Spicer, Monella (Roscoe, Jr.) Keene, and Paula Campbell; four grandchildren, Lauren, Grace, Noah, and Eli Combs; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Kelman and Eliza Spencer; and siblings Coy Spencer, A.C. Spencer, Alma Smith, and Faye Caudill. 

Services will be held Today at 11 a.m. at Betts and West Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 26 at Betts and West Funeral Home.

Claudia Helton

Oct. 25, 1931 – Sept. 23, 2018

Claudia Helton, passed. She was born in 1931, in Stanton, Kentucky. A graveside service was on Wednesday at Camp Nelson. Betts & West officiated.

Gary W. Lynam

Sept. 5, 1947 – Sept. 19, 2018

Gary W. Lynam, 71, husband of Debra Sue Songer Lynam, passed Sept. 19,2018. Services were held at noon Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home.

JoAnn Bradshaw

Aug. 23, 1935 – Sept. 20, 2018

JoAnn Lanham Bradshaw, 83, loving devoted wife and mother, entered her heavenly home on September 20, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bradshaw and daughter, Cheryl Bradshaw Provine(Greencastle Indiana), parents Larry and Margaret Lanham of Dayton Ohio, a sister Myra Hoerner of Beavercreek Ohio. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Bradshaw Jaeger (Don), sons Scott Bradshaw (Karen), Byron Bradshaw (Marsha), son-in-law, Rick Provine (Ann). Nine Grandchildren, James Jaeger(Nancy), Michael Jaeger (Aimee), Haydon, Garrett, Nathan, Bethany Bradshaw, Lee Thompson, Reggie Provine, Savannah Provine. Four great grandchildren, Joslyn, Caleb, Ryder, Jayzen Jaeger and a Sister, Connie Lanham Frazier of Dayton, Ohio.

JoAnn loved caring for others and making sure they were well fed. Her love of gardening, decorating and crafting were evident in and around her home. She had a God given talent to teach and work with children. A memorial celebration will be held on October 6, 2018 from 4-6PM at Wesley Village, 1125 Lexington Road, Wilmore, KY. En Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society


Marvin N. Lunsford

Feb. 2, 1952 – Sept. 23, 2018

Marvin N. Lunsford, 66, loving husband to Carol Leach Lunsford, passed away on Sept. 23, 2018.

Marvin was born to the late Nealy and Walena Collins Lunsford, on Feb. 10, 1952. He owned his own business, Doc’s Electronics. He is survived by one daughter, Sherrie Anne Lunsford, and two brothers Glenn and Donnie (Nora) Lunsford. Marvin is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Parker.

Brenda Joyce Hobbs Reynolds

Dec. 24, 1941 – Sept. 20, 2018

Brenda Joyce Hobbs Reynolds, 76, widow of Billy Wayne Reynolds, died, Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 at her home.

She was a retired employee the University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1941 in Fayette County, Kentucky to the late William and Mary Shank Hobbs. Survivors include a son, Billy (Theresa) Reynolds Jr., four daughters, Connie (Martin) Davis, Crystal (Pete) Huddleston, Carolyn (David) Denny, and Cathy Reynolds, brothers Ronnie and Roger (Carolyn) Hobbs, and sisters Patsy Tate, and Sadie (Henry) Huddleston, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Services were Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 11a.m. at Betts and West Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Marshall officiated. Burial immediately followed at Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bobby Mullins, Lucas Karpuleon, Matthew Preston, Noah Wheeler, Todd Barnette, and DeShawn Prentice. Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Betts and West Funeral Home.
