Nicholasville man arrested for terroristic threatening

Joseph Bryan Brewster, 42, of 223 Ridgewood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 6 for violation of a Kentucky emergency protection order and third-degree terroristic threatening, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute and made contact with Brewster after the victim had already left the residence, driven to the police station and advised officers Brewster  grabbed them by the throat and arm while they had been attempting to get into their vehicle.

The victim advised officers they had an active protection order against Brewster which states there are to be no acts of abuse. Brewster was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and advised officers he had drank a fourth of a pint of whiskey.

While attempting to lodge Brewster in the Jessamine County Detention Center, he allegedly told the arresting officer he would fist fight him and “knock him out” while he was in handcuffs, according to the citation.

Frankfort woman arrested for heroin

Destanie Taylor Jones, 29, of 617 Ridgeview Drive in Frankfort, was arrested Sept. 7 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to a call concerning a tenant staying in a house when they had been evicted. Officers made contact with a tenant at the front door of the residence and were told Jones was not there.

Jones was later found in the laundry room of the residence hiding under a blanket with a blue and black pouch located at her feet.

The blue pouch contained suspected methamphetamine, syringes and alcohol pads. Inside the black pouch was small plastic bags and cotton pieces. Jones admitted the drugs found were heroin and was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for unlawful imprisonment

Samuel Bradford, 48, of 128 Shelby Way in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 6 for first-degree unlawful imprisonment, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to 962 N. Main St. in reference to a man waving a gun and arguing with someone. Upon arrival, officers found Bradford in a silver truck. Officers made contact, and detained Bradford when a passenger got out of the vehicle and asked officers to “get away” from Bradford. The passenger said they had been trying to get out of the truck when Bradford had physically restrained them from leaving. They also said Bradford had a gun and sat it on the center console and began counting bullets.

The victim had a visible wound on their right arm and claimed Bradford had caused the injury while he was trying to restrain them.

Bradford was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for possession of controlled substance

David B. Hurt, 45, of 102 Meadow Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 6 for possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Foxwood Drive for possible suspicious activity by a man who contacted the NPD stating he was talking to another man who tried to sell him Lortab pills.

Officers located the man matching the caller’s description, Hurt, and read him his miranda rights. Officers also asked him if he had anything on him. Hurt allegedly told officers he had three Lortab pills. Hurt was asked if he had a prescription for the pills and he allegedly told the officers “no.”

Hurt was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for methamphetamine and heroin

Billy J. Nicholson, 36, of 218 Lewis Ward Road in Lancaster, was arrested Sept. 4 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Nicholson was observed by officers at the Speedway on Barnes Street and it was known Nicholson had a warrant for his arrest.

After advising Nicholson he was under arrest for the warrant, officers conducted a search which resulted in the confiscation of a bag located in Nicholson’s eye glass case containing suspected methamphetamine. Also inside the zip lock bag was a bag of suspected heroin. Another bag was also located containing an unknown substance.

Officers also found a syringe and black scale with methamphetamine residue on Nicholson who allegedly told officers the two substances found where methamphetamine and heroin, although would not identify the third substance.

Nicholson was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for heroin

Sharon J. Jamison, 61, of 3622 Union Mill Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 2 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin), second-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the Comfort Inn at 100 Allstar St. in reference to a woman who officers found asleep in her car.

Jamison consented to a search of her vehicle which resulted in the confiscation of marijuana, heroin, straws, rolling paper and an unknown substance suspected to be Naloxone/Suboxone in Jamison’s purse located on the passenger seat of the vehicle.

Jamison was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Dustin Ryan Harper, 29, of 2480 High Bridge Road in Wilmore, was arrested Aug. 31 for failure to appear.

— James Cockerham, 32, of 109 Briarwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 31 for a parole violation.

— Latisha M. Stokley, 29, of 59 Bailey Way in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 31 for non-payment of court fees.

— Billy F. Goforth, 58, of 116 N. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 31 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Latasha N. Woods, 32, of 228 Marble Creek Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 1 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Taylor P. Elliot, 30, of 518 Foxwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 1 for menacing.

— Michael E. Gainey, 51, of 3030 Lexington Road Apt. 3 in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 2 for theft by unlawful taking under $500 and alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Julie Lynn Marin, 60, of 1438 Red Maple Drive in Waynesville, was arrested Sept. 7 for non-payment of court costs.

William J. Brock, 47, of 113 Old Wilmore Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 7 for non-payment of court costs.
