Night Market in Wilmore

Wilmore will host its third “Night Market” of the season today. Local shops will have extended hours, plus more than 20 booths of products, crafts and artistry will be set up on East Main Street. Food from local restaurants and vendors will be available with nearby seating provided.The Family Center will be offering an air-conditioned play space, nursing in comfort, diaper change and family-friendly restrooms.

The last concert weekend in Wilmore on the Downtown Green will take place Aug. 24 to 25. On Friday, Gospel on the Green will feature hometown favorites The Moron Brothers. The concert will start at 7 p.m. and will feature Hometown Catering who will be on site selling food.

On Saturday, the Stonebridge series closes out with “Picnic Under The Star,” featuring the big band sounds of the 17-piece group The Metrognomes. The picnic will be catered by Quincy Catering Service. For this event, the food will be available at 6:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m.

Rain or shine there will be music on the Downtown Green. Tables and chairs are provided, or you can bring your own. Both concerts are free, but attendees are asked to bring canned food for the local food pantry or pet food for the animal shelter.

Well nutrition hosts Body Recall

Carolyn Walter will teach her exercise class “Body Recall,” from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice at The Well Nutrition, located at 123 Orchard Drive, Walters is a 23-year teacher. All are welcome. For more information, call 859-548-8203 or 859-241-3552.

Jessamine DUI offers education program

The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. Dare to be Square

Square Dance Classes from the Down Under Squares will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Jessamine County Fairgrounds blue building in Nicholasville. The first two lessons are free. East family reunion this month

The East family announced a family reunion, which will take place at 1 p.m., Aug. 26, in the blue building at the Jessamine County Parks and Recreation building, located at 402 Park Drive.
