Grand jury indicts 30 for trafficking; 18 arrested late last month

The Jessamine County Grand Jury recently returned indictments for 30 narcotics traffickers, 18 of which were arrested late last month.

The grand jury met July 25.  The arrests, made, July 31, were a collaborative effort between the Nicholasville Police Department, the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement officers.

Drugs seized during the investigations include, but are not limited to, heroin, Fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and Suboxone.

Officials with the Drug Enforcement Unit asks citizens to be patient and warns narcotics traffickers to not get comfortable as there are still ongoing investigations and more arrests to come.

The following is a list of suspects who were indicted and subsequently arrested:

— Jamie Sisson, two-counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin)

— Joshua Masters, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine)

— Stephanie Baker, three-counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Suboxone)

— James Burdine, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

— Shannon Powell, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin)

— Henry Miles, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Fentanyl and Carfentanil) and two-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine)

— Jerry Howard, first-dgree trafficking in a controlled substance (Fentanyl and cocaine)

— Johnny Locker, two-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin)

— Carletta Johnson, two-counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

— Philip Watts, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

— Emily Burress, two-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

— Daniel McNelly, four-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

— Chad Baker, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and persistent felony offender

— Jennifer Perez, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

— Betty Bagwell, two-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin)

— Ricky Harper, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Fentanyl of Carfentanil and cocaine)

— Shaun Nevius, four-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and persistent felony offender

— David Waymire, two-counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
