Nicholasville man arrested for assault

Raydell L. Grigsby, 33, of 224 Squires Way in Nicholasville, was arrested July 7 for fourth-degree assault, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to 201 Platt Drive in reference to a 911 hang-up call, where it was heard in the background “get your hands off of me.” Upon arrival, officers could hear yelling coming from the residence. Officers met Grigsby at the door, and the victim then came outside with visible injuries to thier leg and mouth, and complained the injuries were inflicted by Grigsby. EMS responded, and advised the victim they had swelling around their neck as well, and the victim was then transported to the hospital.

Grigsby was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for assault

Tyson W. McCauley, 44, of 8376 Camp Nelson Road in Nicholasville, was arrested July 7 for fourth-degree assault, according to a citation issued by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyson was involved with a physical altercation with his son during which his son sustained visible injuries to his back, neck and sides.

Tyson was also described as resisting arrest when he refused to exit the vehicle for deputies after being told he was under arrest. He had to be pulled from the vehicle, and was also described as resisting arrest later at the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lexington man arrested for DUI

Brian Russell Ward, 46, of 1125 Bay Meadows Drive in Lexington, was arrested July 5 for DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Ward was involved in a collision at US 27 North Bound at Elizabeth. When officers arrived on scene, his vehicle was on fire and he would not get out of the vehicle. He stated that he could not get out. A bystander grabbed a sledgehammer out of the back of his truck and busted out a window, according to the citation.

Ward was then taken out of the vehicle to a safe location. A field sobriety test was then performed, which Ward failed. Ward was then offered a preliminary breath test, which resulted in 000, indicating there was no alcohol in his system.

Ward was described as having a white substance in his nose, having a hard time speaking and slurring his speech.

Ward was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lexington woman arrested for DUI, reckless driving

Shaurice Dale Frances Taylor, 19, of 2547 McKenzie Lane in Lexington, was arrested July 7 for speeding 22 MPH over the speed limit, DUI, reckless driving and disregarding a stop sign, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Taylor was observed traveling South Bound on North Main Street at a high rate of speed, going 58 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. Taylor then turned right onto Asbury Drive, and continued on disregarding a stop sign on Mary Rose Lane. Taylor then came to a stop and was advised out of the vehicle and asked to walk back towards the officers cruiser where they proceeded to question Taylor about their high rate of speed and failure to stop. Taylor advised officers they were trying to pull over. Taylor was described as having glassy eyes and slurred speech, according to the citation.

Other officers on scene advised they could detect the odor of marijuana coming from within Taylor’s vehicle. Taylor advised officers she had smoked marijuana one-hour prior. A field sobriety test was performed, which Taylor failed. Taylor also advised officers she had last drank alcohol one-hour prior.

Taylor was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for tampering with evidence, DUI

Joseph L. Barress, 37, of 106 Virginia Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested July 4 for tampering with physical evidence and DUI, according to  citation issued by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.

Barress was called in by other motorists who advised deputies that Barress had almost struck three other cars traveling on South Main Street. Barress came to a stop at West Brown and Third Street, where officers walked up to the vehicle and it could be observed that Barress was evidently shaking and punching things, according to the citation.

Barress was observed to have a small piece of paper and/or napkin in his hands, which he threw in the passenger seat. The doors to the vehicle were locked, and deputies could not gain access. Barress was asked to unlock the vehicle and step out, where he was then detained. Barress was described as unable to stand still and noticeably jerking, and allegedly told officers he was “leaving his needle for Suboxone.” Powder was evident on the seat and floor of the vehicle.

Barress was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for DUI

Jordan S. Harm, 23, of 118 Judy Court in Nicholasville, was arrested July 5 for DUI and possession of a alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Harm was observed stopped at Wolf Street and High Street where it sat for 30 seconds with no cross traffic. Harm then turned onto High Street towards North Main Street where it stopped in the roadway for no apparent reason.  Upon making contact with Harm, he was described as having glossy eyes and slurred speech. As Harm exited the vehicle he was described as very unsteady on his feet. A field sobriety test was performed, which Harm failed. Harm denied a preliminary breath test.

Multiple open alcoholic beverage containers were located in Harm’s vehicle, two of which were allegedly in the driver’s door. Harm advised officers that he had consumed no more than a few beers in the last 30 minutes.

Harm was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for public intoxication

Amy Lynn Manges, 33, of 109 Glencove #B in Nicholasville, was arrested July 7 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the above address in reference to an altercation. When officers arrived, the made contact with Manges who was outside yelling, according to the citation. She was described as moving around uncontrollably and not making any sense. She allegedly was unsteady on her feet and had constricted pupils. Mange’s family stated she was addicted to Heroin and they wanted her to get help. Mange’s allegedly started to become irate, and was a danger to herself.

She was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Caroline E. Adkinsons, 19, of 1203 Shun Pike in Nicholasville, was arrested June 30 for DUI and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

— James King, 35, of 104 S. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested July 1 for failure to appear.

— Tyler Sandusky, 23, of 1705 Leestown Road Apt. 906 in Lexington, was arrested July 1 for failure to appear.

— John Hillard, 54, of 117 Turner Ave. in Lancaster, was arrested July 1 for alcohol intoxication in a public place and terroristic threatening.

— Jose Luis Melendez, 26, address unknown, was arrested July 1 for alcohol intoxication.

— James D. Overbay, 52, of 107 Laurel Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested July 1 for failure to appear.

— William Graze, 30, of 125 Brookview Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested July 1 for failure to appear and flagrant non-support.

— Jahcobbie N. Jones, 39, of 1222 Centre Parkway in Lexington, was arrested July 2 for failure to appear.

— Jeffery C. Mondelli, 29, of 251 Rebel Road Apt. 1 in Nicholasville, was arrested July 2 for non-payment of court fees.

— Rikki R. Clum, 25, of 506 Laurel Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested July 1 for non-payment of court fees.

— Dexter Wolphagen, 54, of 215 Imperial Pointe in Nicholasville, was arrested July 1 for DUI, operating on a suspended or revoked license and no registration plates.

— Jesse R Fox, 33, of 1509 Poortown Road in Garrard, was arrested July 2 for non-payment of court fees.

— James M. Huff, 32, of 506 John Sutherland Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested on July 2 for operating on a suspended or revoked license.

— Daniel Baker, 32, of 3181 Catnip Hill in Nicholasville, was arrested July 2 for failure to pay.

— Jessica Hodges, 33, of 111 Keenesway Lane in Versailles, was arrested July 2 on a Fayette County warrant.
