Hearth and Home entries taken for Jessamine County fair

Hearth and Home 4-H entries will be taken from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 8th at the Jessamine County extension office located at 95 Park Drive. Hearth and Home, Floriculture and 4-H entries will also be taken from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 9. YMCA hosts summer events through end of July

The YMCA announced it will hold Zumba classes from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday evenings, from July 9 through July 30. Free summer activities are also planned for 1 to 5 p.m. July 16 through July 20, and July 23 through July 27. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 4, the YMCA will host a back to school rally with free school supplies, food and games. Parents must register elementary school students from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m the day of the event. All activities will be located at 220 E. Maple St.
