Wilmore woman arrested for public intoxication

Nicole Thomas, 43, of 540 Drake Lane in Wilmore, was arrested June 25 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Thomas was observed under the influence of some substance and was observed by the workers of the gas station she was located at stumbling in the parking lot prior to officers’ arrival. Thomas was also described as having slurred speech, being unsteady on her feet and was fidgeting, according to the citation.

Thomas allegedly told officers she had taken Suboxone earlier in the day. Thomas was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lancaster man arrested for heroin

Dawson Davis, 19, of 1297 Nina Ridge Road in Lancaster, was arrested June 25 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), second-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to an intoxicated man at the entrance to the store. Davis was observed sitting on a bench with a Walmart employee when officers arrived. After speaking with Davis, officers described him as having slurred speech, unsteady on his feet and unable to keep his eyes open during the conversation. Davis allegedly kept reaching in his pocket for something, according to the citation.

Officers patted Davis down, and felt a small container in his pants pockets. Inside the container was a wrapper containing an unknown amount of a brown substance suspected to be heroin. Also inside the container was one Xanax and one orange Suboxone pill. Davis was read his miranda rights, and allegedly identified the two pills, but not the brown powdery substance.

Davis was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for public intoxication

Jamie Darland, 34, of 113 Baybrook Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested June 30 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police.

Officers were called to the aquatics center in Nicholasville for an intoxicated male subject. Darland was sitting on the ground using a pole to prop himself up, and was described as not being able to hold his head up and having trouble speaking, according to the citation.

Darland could not remember his social security number when officers requested it, and allegedly told officers he had consumed heroin and methadone earlier that day.

Darland was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center,

Woman arrested for public intoxication

April L. Williams, 45, address unknown, was arrested July 1 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to 315 N.Main St. in reference to a subject passed out in a vehicle. A male and female subject were located in the vehicle. Williams was naked and sitting in the passenger seat. Officers advised Williams to put her clothes on and step out of the vehicle. Her movements were described as slow and deliberate, according to the citation. When Williams spoke, she allegedly was slurring her words and had very slow speech.

The vehicle was searched, and officers located syringes in the glove compartment and a glass pipe with residue on it in the compartment near the cup holders of the vehicle.

Williams was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for drug paraphernalia

Joe Angel, 41, of 104 N. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested July 1 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to 315 N. Main St. for a male subject slumped over at the steering wheel. Upon officers arrival, Angel was described as sweating profusely and having slurred speech. Angel had his belt and pants undone and slightly pulled down, according to the citation. The vehicle owner consented to a vehicle search.

During the search, near the center console underneath the cup holders, a white bag was located with a glass pipe inside. The pipe had black scorch marks. Inside the driver’s door, a cut red straw was also located.

Angel was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for DUI

Rebecca Ann Sosbe, 38, of 316 Wichita Drive #18 in Nicholasville, was arrested on June 29 for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and no rear view mirror, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers observed Sosbe traveling down South Main Street near Chestnut, and noticed the vehicle she was driving did not have a driver’s side rear view mirror. Upon contact with Sosbe, she was described as having slurred speech, constricted pupils and appeared drowsy.

Officers asked Sosbe to complete three pre-exit tests, which she allegedly struggled with. Sosbe was then asked to complete a field sobriety test, which she failed.

Sosbe allegedly told officers she had smoked marijuana the prior night. After arresting Sosbe, she requested officers retrieve her purse, phone and keys from the vehicle. Upon searching Sosbe’s makeup pouch, a glass pipe was located. Sosbe was read her miranda rights, and allegedly told officers she uses methemphetamine, according to the citation.

Sosbe was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

— Alicia Ayala, 21, of 101 Ronnaneri in Mount Sterling, was arrested June 26 for theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000 and theft by shoplifting under $500.

— Adrian D. Bright, 33, of 316 Wichita Drive #14 in Nicholasville, was arrested June 26 for unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault.

— Travis C. Kemp, 24, of 1051 Pinoak Drive #1051 in Nicholasville, was arrested June 26 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
