Jose Edgar Chavez Gomez, 29, was arrested June 5 by the Wilmore Police Department for trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 5 pounds of marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 4:30 p.m., Tuesday June 5th, Wilmore police conducted a traffic stop on Gomez which resulted in the confiscation of approximately 2 pounds 6 ounces of suspected cocaine and approximately $1,400 in cash.

A subsequent search warrant was served for 802 Woodspointe Way in Wilmore, where more than 220 pounds of marijuana packed for resale along with $25,000 in cash was also seized by the Wilmore Police Department.
