New Hope Fellowship announces VBS

New Hope Fellowship church, located at 1451 S. Main St., will host a “Game On” Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., June 4-8.

Bethel Church, located on the corner of York and Walnut streets in Nicholasville, will host a revival service at 7 p.m. nightly June 11-13. The event will feature a guest evangelist each evening, along with choir and congregational singing. All are welcome.

Nicholasville United Methodist announces VBS

Nicholasville United Methodist Church, located at 303 W. Maple St., will have its Vacation Bible School for preschool to fifth graders from 6 to 8 p.m., June 4-7. The church invites children to learn of God’s love on Son Treasure Island. A light dinner will be provided. For more information, call 859-885-4481.

Free bread for those in need on Sundays

The Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread from Panera Bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. All are welcome.

Crossword Baptist Church announces VBS

Crossword Baptist Church, located at 4991 Harrodsburg Road, will have Vacation Bible School from 6 to 9 p.m., June 3-7, with a family night scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 8. Wilmore Free Methodist Church hosts series on healing children

Wilmore Free Methodist Church, located at 1200 Lexington Road, will host a four-week series for parents, teachers and care givers on healing children through trust and relationships. The series will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evenings starting May 2. It will feature video training from Dr. Karyn Purvis, as well as a group discussion. Children are welcome to participate in the church’s children’s ministry which will also meet at that time. All are welcome.
